The terms and conditions set forth herein reflect Big Tom's Detailing's policy with respect to each of its customers. All customers of Big Tom's Detailing agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth below.
- Our philosophy is to offer a stress-free detailing experience for our customers.
- Your vehicle and performing proper detailing techniques is our first priority.
- We will not perform any service that shows potential to cause harm or damage your vehicle.
- Prior to Big Tom's Detailing performing services on your vehicle, you, the owner, will advise us of any cosmetic or mechanical issues that would prevent us from completing the detail.
- These may include low battery, trunk permanently shut, windows don’t roll down, etc…
- If your vehicle poses a potential threat to our health and/or safety, please let us know.
- If there is the threat of any harmful substances (needles, drugs, gasoline, etc.) in the vehicle, you must let your detail technician know prior to your detail. You will be held responsible for any health and/or safety issues arising from your vehicle.
- If your vehicle cannot be detailed once we arrive, you will still be charged the full amount of your scheduled appointment (this includes not being present once we arrive).
- Big Tom's Detailing reserves the right to refuse service.
- Appointments
- We will arrive as close to the scheduled appointment time as possible. However, sometimes situations can occur that will disrupt the daily schedule. Our safety will never be compromised by rushing to meet a schedule. You will be called and advised of an arrival time when schedules change beyond our control.
- We charge CANCELLATION FEE’S up-to the FULL AMOUNT of the service you requested if you cancel services with less than 48 hours until your scheduled appointment.
- Pricing varies for each vehicle and is determined by size, package, and condition.
- Additional charges apply for heavy stains, excessive pet hair, excessive debris removal, personal item removal and steam cleaning (if required) due to the additional time it takes.
- Property Damage
- Each customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Big Tom’s Detailing, its owners, employees and affiliates from any damage, loss, expense, cost, claim and liability (including attorney’s fees) arising out of Big Tom’s Detailing mobile services, including without limitation, any property damage which occurs to my property or the property of any neighbor. You acknowledge that the unique mobile nature of Big Tom’s Detailing business may expose me to greater property damage risk, and I hereby assume such risk.
- Big Tom’s Detailing including its affiliates, owners, officers, directors, agents, employees or contractors (collectively “Big Tom’s Detailing” or “Our”) is not responsible in any manner for any damage that may occur while using our services and car wash including, but not limited to:any damage related to pre-existing conditions (including but not limited to tears, stains, scratches, windshield cracks, dents, discoloration, or rust) or defects;
- damage to windshield-wiper systems, wiper blades, rear-window wipers, loose trim or exterior moldings, exterior mirrors, trailer hitch caps, truck bed covers, bug guards, sun visors, steering wheels, seats, luggage racks, bike racks, roof racks, antennas, insignias, accessories and parts (including but not limited to wheels, rims, or spoilers), lowered or raised vehicles, low muffler systems, valve stems, magnetic signage, vinyl/graphic vehicle wraps, running boards, hood ornaments, vehicle rims or wheels, tires (including but not limited to flat tires), headlights, rear lamps, or reflectors;
- any damage to vehicles over 8 years of age or that have over 50,000 miles;
- customer’s negligence, customer’s gross negligence, customer’s intentional misconduct; or
- Big Tom’s Detailing ALLEGED OR ACTUAL NEGLIGENT ACTS OR OMISSIONS.
- Big Tom’s Detailing will neither install nor remove any car seats or custom equipment from your vehicle.
- We will neither remove nor install child car seats from your vehicle. If you would like your car seat cleaned under, please have it removed prior to your appointment.
- We will neither remove nor install custom equipment from your vehicle. This includes, but is not limited to, seat covers, subwoofers, light bars, pet protectors, and bumper stickers, truck bed caps or covers. If you would like these things cleaned under, please have them removed prior to your appointment. Certain items can be removed but will charged additional fees.
- We require 24 hours notice to change or cancel an appointment.
- A hold for the full amount of your scheduled appointment will be placed on the provided credit/debit card 24 hours prior to your appointment. That amount held will be either returned via refund on card if you pay full amount due in cash, if you pay remainder with card the amount held will go towards total amount due.
- An appointment is defined as one (1) scheduled car. Bookings with multiple cars will be subject to multiple cancellation fees i.e. A $500 booking with 5 appointments at $100 each canc
- If you wish to change your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you will have the following 3 options:
- Reschedule your appointment at no additional cost to you. Though you will be charged for your appointment at the time of rescheduling, you may pick another day and time for Big Tom’s Detailing to perform the detail.
- Cancel your appointment with a $50.00 charge. The hold will be released on your card and you will be charged $50.00 on the same card for canceling within 24 hours. This option is valid up to six (6) hours before your scheduled appointment. Cancellations with less than six (6) hours notice are only given options 1 or 3. An appointment is not considered cancelled until the customer has cancelled the appointment via the online system or confirmed the cancellation via a Big Tom’s Detailing representative.
- Convert your scheduled appointment to a gift card. If circumstances have changed (i.e. you sold your car and no longer have it), you may convert the full amount of your scheduled appointment to a gift card for later personal use or to give as a gift. Big Tom’s Detailing reserves the right to withdraw this option for fleet vehicle/business vehicle bookings.
- Any booking/appointment with a value of $400.00 or more will require 48 hours notice to change or cancel. Cancellations of these appointments are subject to being charged the full amount without proper 48 hour notice due to the amount of time reserved for a single customer. ANY DETAIL, COATING OR SERVICE OVER $200 WILL REQUIRE A DEPOSIT AMOUNT ACCORDING TO THE TOTAL AMOUNT AND ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE.
9. Monthly Car Washes
- Monthly Wash Members are still held to Big Tom’s Detailing cancellation and reschedule policy as noted above in section 8.
- Commitment to either our 6 or 12 month Constant Clean program entitles the customer to a free detail. A 6 month commitment will receive an exterior or interior-only detail, which will be entirely up to the customer. A 12 month commitment will receive an exterior and interior detail. (To receive these perks you MUST pay for the Wash Program for either 6 or 12 months in advance.)
- There are NO GUARANTEES of bringing said customer’s car back to a specific condition (i.e. “Show Room New”).
- The frequency of visits during the customer’s 6 or 12 month commitment is based upon the customers initial booking (i.e. monthly, biweekly, weekly) and will be set for the entire duration of their commitment and held to Big Tom’s Detailing standard cancellation and reschedule policy. ($35 Wash Program is entitled to 2 monthly exterior washes per month, $65 Wash Program is entitled to 4 exterior washes per month. Any other services requested will be charged al a’ cart.)
- Customer agrees to keep a valid method of payment on file for the duration of their wash commitment. Failure to provide a valid method of payment will be seen as forced cancellation of said commitment and customer will be billed according to policy listed below.
- Cancellation of a monthly wash commitment requires written notice to Service@BigTomsDetailing.Com. There are NO refunds for services already purchased or if you miss a scheduled wash.
10. Payment
- We accept cash and credit cards. Payment is due at the completion of the detail. However we do allow you to pay for the services online when you book our services. It is not necessary to pay in full prior to service but if you book online we DO REQUIRE a cancellation/no show fee deposit.
- If payment was made online, your card will not be charged until after completion.
- There will be a $30.00 charge for Non Sufficient Funds
- Cancellation Fee / No Show fees are start at $45 and depending upon the service total amount the fee can be charged for full amount of the services.
11. Photographs and Video
- We have your permission to take pictures or video of your vehicle for insurance & marketing purposes. These will never be sold or given to third parties.
12. Damage/Accidents
- Reimbursement will not be paid for any minor cosmetic damage as a result of detailing your vehicle.
- If something arises after the detail that was not noticed during the final walk around, you must contact us within 24 hours and if needed, schedule a touch-up detail within 5 days.
Each customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Big Tom’s Detailing, its owners, employees and affiliates from and against any and all liabilities, expenses, damages, and costs, including attorney’s fees, resulting from any service provided or injury after our services have been completed.
13. Engine Damage Disclaimer: There are risks involved when cleaning an engine. Today’s cars have a lot of electronics and other parts in the engine compartment that can be damaged. While cleaning an engine and the engine compartment, problems can occur, which include, but are not limited to, wiring or fittings that can loosen or get wet during the cleaning process, causing the engine to not start, wires to short out, or other damage to occur. Big Tom’s Detailing is not responsible for any damage resulting from this service, temporary or otherwise, EVEN THOUGH SUCH DAMAGE IS CAUSED BY OR ALLEGED TO BE CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENT ACTS OR OMISSIONS.
